Gates of Gold is the latest release from one of East Los Angeles’ most iconic bands, Los Lobos. This group of guys has been performing and recording for over forty years, and we’ve had the pleasure of working with them for 15 of those, starting with the boxed set, El Cancionero: Mas y Mas. The new album is a wonderful, reflective record that could be the cherry on this band’s epic musical journey. The cover features an image taken on the road by band member Louie Pérez. Inside are portraits by John Gilhooley and an aerial freeway shot by Noé Montes. Nominated this year for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Los Lobos will be hitting the road again soon, so catch their incredible live show in your town.
