Richard Avedon’s assistant and native New Yorker, Drew Carolan, documents the NYC punk rock scene at CBGBs from 1983 through 1985. Tornado Creative worked closely with Drew to maintain the integrity of his vision by printing the images as duotones using solid gray and black inks. The result is a powerful, graphic depiction of hard New York streets captured as poetic and beautiful landscape of a once misunderstood subculture.
